Led Zeppelin – Bron-Y-Aur Stomp Lyrics 18 years ago
It's just a song about Robert Plant, his dog, and the affection between both of them. Women come and go, but they will always be together. My favorite part of this song is at the end of the live version: STRIDER!
I've just realized that this songs causes me to become happy :)

Swans – Coward Lyrics 18 years ago
This might as well be called, "The Masochist's Song". It's is about one who derives pleasure from being considered inferior to another and just being completely submissive to everything. Most of the songs by Swans cover this subject. Fairly disturbing, haha. I like it.

Oh, and by the way, throwing the horns is pretty much mandatory while listening to this song.

Black Sabbath – Black Sabbath Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is basically about messing with shit that you don't understand(i.e. the occult) and getting something much different than you expected. A young occultist accidentally summons Lucifer and pays the price. I absolutely love Ozzy's wails right before Tony grinds back into his heavy riff. It's as if he's looking the devil straight in the face, scared shitless. Oh, and the riff! Sweet God, the riff! An excellent use of the tritone; it makes the song sound so fucking evil and heavy! One of my all time favorite songs.

The Beatles – Yesterday Lyrics 18 years ago
This is a very sad song. One minute, you're happily in love with someone, enjoying the relationship. The next thing you know, you're wondering how things went wrong, distressed. I can relate, somewhat. But, in the end, there is hope..."I believe in yesterday". Sometimes, I think hope is all you've got. Amazing song. Uplifting and depressing at the same time.

David Bowie – Five Years Lyrics 18 years ago
My favorite Bowie song. It's just amazing; the way it builds up to a head, still retaining it's beauty. The song, if you discard the Ziggy Stardust story line, is, essentially, about the human condition dealing with news that the end of the world is close at hand, Five Years away, to be precise. What would happen? The actions of different people could change dramatically. People would take in more of there surroundings, and realize feelings they have not taken the time to notice before(or, just plain act on feelings you would earlier have discarded). If you look at it from this angle, it's a fairly simple, yet absolutely astounding song. The mounting passion in the voice of David Bowie near the end of the song as he screams "Five Years!" into the climax can give the listener chills.

Alice Cooper – Desperado Lyrics 18 years ago
Yeah, the song was written as a tribute to Jim Morrison, who was a drinking buddy of Alice Cooper's. Cooper sang the vocals intentionally to mimic the style of Morrison's. Oh, and Alice was a pretty big fan of Westerns, which you can plainly see an influence of.
