I think First verse: He likes a girl and he wants to be with her, but he's too wrapped up and devoted to an addiction to drugs. Second verse: She says she likes him, too, but sees that he is slowly killing himself by using. She doesn't know how long he'll be around, and therefore can't put herself through a relationship with him. Third verse: He admits that she's right, and knows that his addiction is harmful, but he says that he doesn't have the strength to fight it. This is one of the most tragic and hauntingly beautiful songs I've ever heard. He was a genius. I miss him. |
