simply nothing to analyze.he's going through questions of mortality and human nature, but basically he ends on the note that he'll believe in God and hold on to the little ounce of faith that he still has and continue to believe in God and the peace he can bring him. |

She uses so many elements in this song, it's amazing. how she used a russian poem along with quotes...and yet she made it have a meaning. I think most of her songs can be interpreted in many ways, but i guess it just matters how the song speeks to everyone. To me, this song is about, how we're not in control of our destiny, God is. and fear is our greatest downfall. |

Life changes people and so does time.
I think that's what she was trying to say
even though she got kind of off topic, but that's just regina's amazing gift. She make nonsense into something. |

yea, she's trying to convince herself along with him that she wants him to leave. she knows she can't split them just on her free will...i can totally relate...but, yea...i'm pretty sure it's not as complex as some might try to make it. |

Although this song could be viewed in a religious way...the way i first thought of it...it could also just mean someone is like a puppet, being controled by others, being pushed and used. Losing grip of identity and not being able to make choices for yourself because you're not yours. |

" You cant write the same song over again,
It's in the same key" when i heard this, it meant to me that if something happens once and you try it again, it's going to have the same outcome...and he says it almost like he's disappointed...he know's that his relationship is going to end the same way |

It has to be "while you stare at your boots" because she has been sheltered and isn't used to male attention; she is shy and doesn't want attention and stares down at her boots to avoid the outside world or even eye contact with the dirty people outside of her walls. |

I think it's about not wanting to miss out on someone, you're just so afraid of losing them that you are desperate. and the soup from stone and the chopping the books...i'm thinking it has to do with desperation and foolishness...just like that level of desperation over a loved one can come across as foolish. |

his dog died, i guess, and he buried it in a cardboard box instead of a wood grain coffin, and
i think it switches to another death, about someone in his family, and how his mom just wouldn't let it go, and that they never saw the beauty in whoever died, and they took the kisses for granted... |

I think that when she says the dj is asleep on the radio and they listened to it twice...she means she kept making the same mistakes because she wasn't paying attention"asleep" ...and i think that the song is kind of pulling in and out of sorrow, like she never could escape it, and it always kept returning...because everyone is "asleep" |
