Their most romantic song ever. I've heard many of their songs, (not self-titled yet) and this song takes the cake. Stone writes most of my favorite songs, and here he does lyrics too! Such a beautiful song. On several of my bootlegs for the 2000 tour Ed states that "This is a song about young love". Basically that is what is is. STRANGELIFE wrote the perfect description from Stone himself. |

(CONTINUED from above) Here are some of those lyrics: If you want to go you're going to have to make some time for you, and only you, I would make time you could give meaning to the word...time So romantic! |

They change the lyrics every time they play it. I've heard about 6 versions of this song and each one is different. I love it that way. Every one is made up on the spot so it shows his state of mind at that time. I like that because you can really see differences in each song depending on the phase he is in at the time. The meaning? It's about someone who is busy and wants to escape somewhere to be alone with their significant other. It is also one of their most romantic songs because of it's sheer simplicity. Oh, my favorite version is London 5/30/2000 |

| Pearl Jam – Wishlist Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Camero is a type of car. The line, "I wish I was the full moon shinning off a Camero's hood" is saying he wishes he was as beautiful and poetic as the sight of seeing the full moon in the reflection of a Camero's hood. Another note, the person the song was written for (his then wife, now ex) drove a Camero at the time. | |

The person above me writes what I think it means in the last quote. "For me, it's a song about judgment and not always understanding what is going on with another person." (interview - Boston Globe - 5/14/00) JEFF Basically, to me, it is about something being a whole lot more than what it seems. Something very deep and most people only know it on a surface level. Because of that, it is misunderstood. I sense another meaning, or what I feel from it, but I might write it later as I have no time now. But, since Jeff wrote this, it probably doesn't mean that but it might be Jeff's interpretation of Ed's situation at that time. More later... |

| The Decemberists – Los Angeles, I'm Yours Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I actually took as a sarcastic song. Well, in the fact that he says all those bad things about LA and then goes on the corous (sp?) to say "Los Angeles, I'm yours" in a tonge in check sort of way. He still hates LA, and when he says he 'loves' it it's sort of a laughingly way like ... "yeah right". I think it has something to do with the fact that LA is another hot spot for Indie music and The Decemberists are from the Pacific North West. Or maybe I'm mistaken about LA being a hotspot for Indie music and maybe it's their distaste for mainstream music. Death Cab for Cutie (also from the Pacific Northwest) have an ani-LA song too and it is just as good as this song. | |
