| Kraftwerk – Europe Endless Lyrics

"This song makes me feel good about being a European". Oh come on, give me a break. This song is not an ardent ode to Europe. Life is not timeless and Europe is certainly not endless, that's the point. The pleonastic structure, (this song reminds me of a music video Michel Gondry made for the Chemical Brothers) of the song and of course the above mentioned hyperboles are irony impelling elements. Europe is not endless it's "Real life on postcard views" |

The difference between Past and Present and 7/4 Shoreline is that the second is actually a pretty good song.Past In Present's lyrics are ridiculously redundant. |

| Mirah – The Dogs of B.A. Lyrics

The Dogs of B.A. is pretty much the only decent song on C'mon Miracle. An album that is otherwise dominated by untalented hippie campfire music, pathetic love songs for feeble-minded heartbroken teenagers (the comments of the other users on the song “Don't Die In Me” are the perfect proof for this assertion) and depthless pseudo-dylanesque (I despise Bryan Ferry for that “album”) pleadings for peace (I’m talking about the flimsy “Jerusalem”) Don’t get me wrong, Mirah is not a bad singer songwriter. She’s just another mediocre indie chanteuse. |
