| Ok, so I'm loving the Odyssey thoughts. I totally think that's where he's heading with this. He's definitely high at points, but the "new way" may not be a new drug or even a new way to do old drugs. It could totally be like a new thought process he endures when he gets high or doesn't even get high, just assumes the role of Ulysses and is a powerful hero/adventurer. I can't substantiate my claims, but yeah, just throwing it out there. | |

| I think it has nothing to do with drug abuse. I think it's about depression. He's just messed things up too many times with women or he's had a few bad experiences and he's just gunna take it easy for now. "resting his chemistry" is like his body chemistry, like if people were to date, you could say that they have "chemistry", he's just resting himself, his "chemistry". Sometimes you just gotta stay in that Friday night, sometimes you need that alone time, to just cope and whatnot, that's what I think this song is about. | |
