| I think this song might have to do with 9/11. But I think it's a song about feeling lost and alone more than anything. It's one of my top-three Guster song and one of my top songs in general. It's a beautiful song. | |

I think this song's about a guy who looks at his girlfriend and realizes how much she's changed. I think the girl probably cheated on him or crossed the line somehow "You don't know how far you've gone" and has changed so much, but she's not aware of it and he's wondering how it all happened "Or recognize who you've become". I think the line "Sick of playing my part" means that he's sick of being in this situation and he wants to tell her what's on his mind, and he wants to confront her about what she's done..but he's been unable to do it. Which might be what's making him mad/sad. I dunno if that's right...but it's my interpretation. |
