This is word for word how I feel right now. Just got out of a year-long relationship with someone I've known for over five years. He moved away for school and I trusted him more than anyone and he left me for someone else who lived there a month or so after he got there. I've been a wreck, but like the song says, I'm slowly getting closure, things are getting better. ANYWAYS... although I'm not a huge Daughtry fan (no offense) this song is amazing and I totally get it. It's helping me through all this. :) |

I know this is a love song, but the first few lines remind me of my step brother who recently passed away due to a drug overdose. This part reminds me of him: "I drink good coffee every morning Comes from a place that's far away And when I'm done I feel like talking Without you here there is less to say" Other than that, it doesn't remind me of him. Still, I love Colin Hay sooo much. He's amazing. This song means a lot to me and it does remind me at times of my ex boyfriend. But I was just listening to it for the first time in a while and my step brother popped into my head. |

Well, I know my meaning is totally different than what anyone's said yet. But this song reminds me of my ex boyfriend. We've been on and off for four years and we're still very good friends. He lives in another state (it's always been long distance, I've actually never met him in person. I am next summer, though). Anyway, this song reminds me of him because of the feelings I still have for him (and he still has for me). We just won't do the long distance again. It's like we have unfinished business. We know we'll be together someday, we're just tired of waiting. I don't know. I know that's kind of random, but that's what it means to me. |
