Northern Soul, it's not just me then!!! I always get goosebumps when I hear that bit, it's so emotional for me and I'm not sure why.... I will type what I think this song means when I get a chance, but seriously, what an amazing song, it is actually one of my favourite songs of all time. |

I kept trying to figure out everytime I heard this why he says 'people, they dont mean a thing to you, they move right through you, just like your breath' to someone he clearly must care for. Why would you want to apologise to someone who doesn't give a sh*t about anyone? But I'm guessing now, that it ties in with 'sometimes I f*ck up and say these things out loud'. Perhaps this is what he had said to her? And clearly he regrets it. Unless she said it to him, and he's reciting what she said. Don't know if it makes sense! To me this song can mean many things, but I think its about ruining a relationship (any kind, i.e. friendship, romantic) by saying and doing something foolish, so the above would tie in with that! |
