There is no hidden message, this is just part of "She Bangs The Drums" played backwards-no foward vocals. I'm fairly sure they just decreased the guitar and amplified Rani; I could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure thats what I read somewhere.
P.S. Try reversing the song on Goldwave to hear it properly, it just makes the song even more wonderful compared to other "Backmasking Messages". The "Satanic messages" on vinyl are a joke compared to "I Am Without Shoes". |

beautifully put mcleania, why don't some of you other posters stop whining and start explaining why the songs not about being homosexual, because quite frankly the views supporting the subject matter is alot more convincing then whining about, "...all you people thinking every single smiths song is about being gay..." |

This song is hard to understand at some bits and I can't figure out what they are either, but I did notice that it is actually "...in her class" and "Maybe pipe dreams, but come Easter". Trivial, but worthy of note if we are to give this song as much appriciation as it deserves. This is such a great song full of great imagery, I can perfectly see this woman in her own little world and can almost sympathize for her. Cold War Kids certainly made a home run with this song! |
