This is from Deron: This song is about a widower who just recently got married and his wife committed suicide. Recently after her death he believes that his wife is haunting him, trying to tell him something. "I hear a creaking through the door, i see you seeping through the floor" This is making the man a very uneasy person and he can't move on with his life. It breaks his heart to do it but he tells his wife's spirit to go away.He tells the ghost of her to leave him alone"Its not easy asking you to leave, cause you'll always be the only" I think that maybe the whole "now wont you take the time to cast out your regrets" part maybe the guy thought his wife was trying to tell him all the stuff she regrets doing (having an affair? maybe he found out? rough past?) but yeah thats pretty much the meaning All that makes sence. I just think.. Maybe the part "now wont you take the time to cast out your regrets" means, that the wife is trying to tell him that she is truely sorry for leaving him/killing herself. She doesn't want him to forget her, even though she made a terrible mistake. And that explains with she is haunting him. |

It's hard to find the truly meaning in this song, but I'll try; "I remember this young guy died and I took his part He got far too many stitches on his pretty face Long time to see but I always thought us two would be serious I was looking around town, thinking the same as you." It could be abput his girlfriend, and how the relationship was in the beginning. The first line could then be about the girls old boyfriend, and how the singer took his place. "I'm far gone but your long distance call And your capital letters keep me asking for more It's never been like that It's never been like that" Like The Kernal said, this part is about time and distance who make them grow apart. "Where to go I had no idea about it Most of the people do, there're only doing just fine I don't wanna stay in place no more, see Ain't doing well well well, I am only doing just fine" He don't know what to do, but he does not want it to be like this, he wants to change his situation, because he is not doing as good as he wants to. The song is defintely about love, and as I see it, it is about some problems he has in the relationship, and he wants to change it. |
