Actually, habiby56, it does matter if you believe everything the Bible says or not. All scripture is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16). If you don't believe everything God says is true, then, to put it quite simply, you're saying God is a liar. Numbers 23:19.
Also, the first verse of this song is adopted from 1 Kings 19:11-13, where the Lord speaks to Elijah (The Hebrew here is for Yahweh or Jehovah, the God of the Jewish nation, and now also through Jesus His son, He is the God of anyone who will believe Him AND actually commit their life to following Him to the best of their ability.) |

| Blindside – The Way You Dance Lyrics

One the surface, I think sheflatlines is right. But I think it's more than that. It's about recognizing what you hate in yourself by seeing it in others. He's watching this couple dance across the room--it's not himslef to start with. Then with the "I see you're wearing your shoes..."part, that's where he sees it. This guy is using her (which could also be symbolic of pretty much any flaw or vice) and the shoes symbolize distance or selfishness. As he watches, he realizes he's no different. He's dancing (living) with his shoes on (walls of fear, indifference, bitterness, selfishness, etc.) while he forces her (or anyone he cares about) to live with their broken dreams. |

| Blindside – Shekina Lyrics

This song is a beautiful picture of receiving salvation. God is the one throwing kisses from the sky. These kisses are the sacrifice of Jesus giving His life in exchange for ours. Being naked is metaphoric of being fully exposed and vulnerable before God. "Shekina" is basically a heavy, tangible presence of God's spirit,--"Like joy was something you could touch..."-- This is a call for all of us to swim out further and catch one. Tonight. |
