| Death from Above 1979 – Go Home, Get Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"So if you tell me that you'll have me never leave me til I die Why try? But if we're living and we're happy and I come back when I go You will know " It's my belief that this is the most important section of the song that really gives it most of it's meaning. My guess this song is basically about a one nite stand between old friends/lovers/what have ye. Anyways, the guy decides to go out for something to clear his head cause the girl is madly in love with him or some sappy jazz, but he's unsure of his own feelings. So he's basically telling her, "If I come back, you'll know my feelings." |

| This song really isn't anything THAT special to think about. The lyrics are actually just snippets and ideas from one of GY!BE's members, who had been working on a movie idea. These are just little clips from his imagination. | |
| Death from Above 1979 – Cold War Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I think it's basically the equivalent of a "Dear John" letter that wives and girlfriends would write their spouses who were over-seas during wars, possibly even to the current one: "This war is cold and silent" There's a lull in the fight. "Our love has turned to violence" It's obviously not working out. "You've got...live for something" They've got a bit of time to work things out, and vice-versa. "And if you love him let him know, and if you'd leave him tell him so, or you will break his heart in two." Tell him you love him if you do, if you don't then let him know, so that he doesn't come back home and get his heart broken. |
