| Primus – Amos Moses (Jerry Reed cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this reminds me of the time I was about 5 or 6 and my parents took me to Disney in Florida. On the way home we stopped off at a road-side alligator stand, where you could buy a pet alligator. This was around 75'-76' I believe. I remember wanting one really bad, but my Mom put her foot down and my dad said, "CMON' NOW...THA BOY'S GOT A MINNIE MOUSE DOLL..FOR CHRISTS SAKE!! (so I had a crush on her, big deal?) LET EM' HAVE A PET ALLIGATOR WONCHA?" So there I was in the backseat, holding my dad's emptied styrofoam beer cooler, with a pet alligator grinning ear to ear all the way back to Texas. Goddamn I love this STATE!! | |

| for me the song is about a long term relationship or marriage. How it has it's ups and downs (pun intended), and no matter how perfect the couple are for each other, or how perfect some couples appear everyone experiences a rough period. It's about getting through those hard times and realizing it isn't easy being with the same person for a long period of time, but if your lucky enough to make it, it is worth it. | |
| Prince – Lady Cab Driver Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It's about a guy who is lost, troubled and lonley. He is looking for someone to have great sex with, to make him feel alive. When she gives it up, he pours out every emotion from anger to lust into it. Mind blowing sex. Simple and plain. | |

To me this song is about two people who meet, become friends and eventually discover they are soul mates and made for each other. Or at least one of them feels that way. However they are involved with someone else (or maybe he is) and it keeps them apart. "What if it felt right, would you want me to know?" They have to be strong and never admit the undeniable love they have for each other. They both know if it was known between them, nothing would stop them from being together and it would destroy the lives of the innocent people they are already involved with. "what if we could" "would you meet me?" "God, somehow exist" She is stronger than he is and able to resist because she know's the cost of being together but he is more desperate to know and a huge part of him wants it to be real no matter the cost. "So go on be your own star" "Your a superstar in my eyes" "Look in my eyes Just look in my eyes My eyes, my eyes" He's trying to push her out of his life, so he can go on with the life he has chosen, yet he can't let her go because she is the brightest girl he has ever known. He wants her to see it in his eyes, so she knows it's real. God, I would God, I would I would meet you Would you meet me? I would meet you I would meet you This part of the song sounds as if he realizes he would throw away everything to be with her, if only she would say the word and he feels guilty for it by screaming "God I would!" Tragic fucking song...... |
