mono.juano is right on and vintager rocket your partially correct - yeah, its "by the blin-ding light our prayers are answered" for the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th repetition, but the second time its "by the blin-ding light our fears are conquered a few other things, O the storms that grow O the love weve known O the homes not home thats all |

| i agree with all three of breaves corrects, but it isnt a big deal if theyre never changed | |
| The Roots – The Seed (2.0) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
im thinking that since the roots being classified by others as a hip-hop band first and foremost, no matter what all blend of genres are strewn together, the message of the songs kind-of chorus by chesnutt is that they also want to be remember for rock, they are steeped in rap but they want to put they're seed in rock and roll. this would make sense because with rappers for the last 16 years since Common's amazingly thoughtful song "I used to love H.E.R." hip hop has been personified as a female being, one that can be physically treated great respect or poor intentions, someone that can be used and abused, or even made love to or raped. even black thought showed this on Act Two (love of my life) which featured common himself. hes saying that hip hop is not the only woman in his life, just that she is his main love thats what i think, but my question is like God 2.0 is his own response to Rising down, which song is the Seed 2.0 a response to? |

| Limp Bizkit – Hot Dog Lyrics | 18 years ago |
aright - im not one ta take sides, form opinions, or ta make a stand an what not on this site -only song i eva had a real opinion on was wooden jesus- but ima make one now (i aint even some big fan a LB-i burned my older [OLDER - as in not twelve years old] brother's significant other an stole chocolate starfish.... but--->) to all you people here tryin ta take down fred durst one notch at a time -grow up a lil- make your opinions an do what ya gotta but do it in mind that you cant speak fer the world (i.e. nothin but eleven year olds listen to-...nothin but low IQ retards listen to-... nothin but pissed off mellodramatic angsty teenagers listen to-...nothin but beligerant fucks listen to-...etc) yeah whateva -so fred durst "aint shit next ta trent reznor" like alla you ARE...? -easy mac aint shit next ta spaghetti an meat balls -but i still like it...-maybe love it simplicity is a thing of its own an thats why when after i got over my little "i out grew this when i was eleven" attitude - i came back ta limp bizkit. an offspring. an linkin park. an staind. an even blink 182. (not puddle a mudd though...neva could go back ta that one) anyway-all told thats atleast 500 more songs i can listen to while keepin in mind that it may NOT be worthy a johnny cash -or maynard james keenan -or jim morrison -or danny lohner -or rory gallagher -or whoeva but it is what it is an what it is, is somethin that brings me back to long-gone-times.. so i appreciate it all the more -an once more-i like the simplicity (maybe not THIS song but limp bizkit as a whole) as for fred durst an his money an "un deserved fame" an what not - he didnt spend his life typin out overly large blogs that will be forgotten on websites that mean nothin on the internet which we dont even need - you can walk in ta any recordslashdepartment store an his work will be there "forever" -youll always be able ta find limp bizkit cds- which is more than most a us can say for ourselves right now pff..."right now"...since "right now" nobody here has done what fed durst has done (went from a nobody in jacksonville (along with wes borlan john otto dj lethal an sam rivers) an since fred durst is such a conartist ana punk an since every otha person here is such an idealist - it should be easy ta do what hes done- an ta get your name out there an out shine an shut down limp bizkit THEN come back an talk some more commiserative bullshit once you earned a right -enjoy the longest rant a my life- |

...i heard this song from a friend when she was singin it but... my uncle was talkin abou' kill bill an how its "so far out there an not even ment to be real" an bein three years later i still think hes right...so to anybody who thinks its "fake"...its cause it is...an even though opinions are opinions an thats whats this site is for, by his opinion we might as well burn these two movies(kill bill one an two) - burn star wars, desperado, the cube...kung fu hustle, alla the matrix's, jurrasic parks an k-pax an might as well throw in any cartoonslashcomic book+anythin george orwell, robert a. heinlein, ian banks or frank miller eva wrote - cause you know - its all unrealistic garbage - jus' forget great fictional motion pictures all literature - we dont need it thats my opinion ha jk |

| Nas – One Mic Lyrics | 18 years ago |
not that Misc Inc prolly ever gonna read this but jurasic5 aint underground...nether is talib kwali - hes been featurin in.. prolly every otha big time rapper out there...mos def is big timin it too - jus not with rap - he be doin movies alla the time...monster ball (billy bob thorton an hollie berry underground too?noe.)...travlers guide ta the gallexy...italian job with charlize theoron an mark whallberg... 16 blocks (an you KNOW bruce willace is small time - aint nobodys eva heard a die hard - smaller than a sundance movie) but anyway - whats all this about one mic one a the only songs out there that aint about money an cars...the whole "its-one-of-the-last-real-songs-out-there"...? cause i mean nas is all fine an good but... theres always more...warren g-"do you see"...the game "like father, like son"...saigon "true story"...rjd2/copywrite-"june"...outkast-"da art of story tellin"...nelly-"N de say"....even mos def's got "kalifornia" ludacris-"do your time"...kid rock-"only God knows why"...ice cube "it was a good day"...flipsyde "happy birthday".. even eminems got "rock bottom"...dmx gots "i can feel it"(samples phil collins jus like "one mic" do)...damian marley-"road ta zion" (got nas in it too)...atmosphere got alwayc comin back home ta you(i dont even like song)...afromans "parinoid" an tupacs hail mary -look at that - dont even gotta step off the main streamers list... but yeah i aint tryin ta down talk nas so i dont need no hate letters from nobody out there...jus keep perspective - nas aint the only one out there an take a look at that list too - took me like twenty minutes ta type alla that out |

| Temple of the Dog – Wooden Jesus Lyrics | 18 years ago |
even though (to me) it sounds of a religious song buyin your way ta heaven through earthly shit is a stupid concept ta complain an be all "anit-" about... -sayin that people put crosses an "propaganda" in they homes as a means to heaven is like sayin people buy rolling stones posters an hang em up on a wall someplace ta get into one a their concerts even though i think we all look to far inta lyrics a (all lyrics period), diggin fer subliminal messages an alla that crap - heres my two cents -an since theres only two sides a the arguement on the song..-ima add a third... id say if this track is actually somethin personal ta him [an not just a song he wrote] -its prolly about bein a last resortslashbargain - ause if it was just ''an easy way out'' kinda thing the song would go more like "i don' wanna work but i wanna get payed" but it dont so it (prolly) aint "i didnt know it was the wholy land" kinda shows that religion aint somethin he JUST found out about an wants in on - its like he failed on gettin inta heaven legitamately an thought that was it...but now theres a second way through (like 'Constantine' without spirits and demon cleaners) i could be wrong...-we all could bewrong...cant really know what a war's like less youer there when it happened |

| Linkin Park – Hands Held High Lyrics | 18 years ago |
aye um... not that my very own opinion means more than nothin ta anybody but...you all takin it a lil too serious...read the song notes in the linkin park cd (least its in the blue-book-lookin special edition) an the closest they come ta sayin about anythin you all are sayin is "...two of the most inspired verses mike has ever delivered" - an that was the second half of a sentance at the bottom of a paragraph...so its just a song...not some big statment primed for political argument... -the whole cd is "just a cd"...all theyre doin with this cd is tryin ta find a new "sound" - an they just needed words ta fill the void - an ended up fillin blog pages instead -so whateva- hate it or love it, your just wastin breath over air...trading twelve for a dozen...firing blanks - anythin you wanna say along them lines |
| Tupac Shakur – Hail Mary Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"some say the end is near" thas prolly a concept tupac got more than most a us an thats enough for alla us ta tip our hats but... -he did more in a eight year stretch than most of us done since we been born (no matta how old you are) an we can still feel that eleven years later - even if its only through otha rappers who never met him puttin theyselves beside him - but considerin alla that we should all hush our mouths an let the man die if all we got is negativisms ta be said about the man -even if he still breathin somewhere, he prolly aint gonna be comin back so wha's the point- |
