(Gosh, this song certainly hits home for me) It is about another relationship broken and pride not allowing you to show how much the rejection really hurts. Even though she refuses to express her pain, one strong and hopeful quality is that she is "not about to sit around, let [herself] go". All in all, it really is hard to be hopeful about love when you've experienced rejection(s).... yep, love is never easy. |

The truest form of love is to love your self. For those who believe that is conceited simply don't understand. To experience happiness in life is through the means of loving yourself (and sometimes that can be really hard to do). I think Tamia's song "Me" is beautiful and has the capacity to reach out to women who are in a tough relationship. It's so easy to get caught up in the drama and hold on dearly to the one you love even though inside the pain is killing you. This song is a reminder for all women to remember to always love their self. |
