Some people say that this song was written for Brian Epstein, keep in mind that this album was recorded a few months after John and Brian vacationed in Barcelona where they had an "ALLEGED" homosexual encounter (i hope not!!) but their circle of friends used to make jokes about Brian having a crush on John but his wife Cynthia also maintains that Lennon's relationship with Epstein was just platonic. anyways if its put in that context it kindda makes sense specially this part. That I would love to love you, And that SHE will cry when SHE learns we are two. Cos I couldnt stand the pain, And I would be sad if "OUR NEW LOVE" was in vain. So idk about john but brian was really really gay, later playboy published that lennon only let brian toss him off. BTW im a huge beatles fan and specially John's, so please dont hate me for this comment!!! does anyone knows anything more about it? |
