This song particularly hits hard with me. I got addicted to heroin after being on pain killers for a long time. This song is about a girl being on heroin and how a guy still loves her and wants her to get straight. The medafore "lost in the valley without my horses" is like what some of you said. It would be hell to be in death valley without a horse to ride on right. It is hell being out in the cold without any heroin(or horse) you get dope sick. I love this song!
