going back to the twelve step/drug addiction motif, as the eleventh track, its safe to say this is meant to represent the 11th step right? however i've been struggling to find a link, as the eleventh step is a focus upon a conscious contact with god now tbh i can't find a link between the song and that but then i thought, lullaby is a kind of track inbetween pet and gravity, the 10th and 12th track, so maybe pet is a kind of combination of both those steps? so this track is a combination of admiting when wrong and a spiritual awakening? Those two do seem to go together well, so perhaps there is more? Although thinking about it, it does suit the 11th step better then i thought, the "sleep" could represent the unconscious connection with god? something to think about |
