I like anti-flag but i do feel like they are filling kids with this empty "I HATE TEH GOVRNMNT OMG" kind of attitude. I just hate the kids who think they know everything about everything because they listen to anti-flag and believe in all the conspiracy theories about everything "OMG." Anyways, I fucking love randy. If there is a "real punk" randy is as true as you get. They can write songs about heartbreak and personal problems as well as songs about how shitty the world leaders are and how we are in the middle of a useless generation. Punk was first made to be a complete freedom in expression, and you are like "SHUT UP U R NOT PUNK U R GEHY" Yeah, please go get sodomized by a plunger. |

In response to LuckyMonkey, That's awesome and even if the song isn't REALLY about that, It makes perfect sense and for what its worth i believe this song can mean exactly what you said. The only thing i'd like to add, the verse of the boy dieing.. "And you left with your head filled with flames And you watched as your brains fell out through your teeth" I feel like after the bullet to the head (Head filled with flames), The boy has left his body and as his spirit is ascending, he watches his brains fall out through his teeth. It continues with "Push the pieces in place Make your smile sweet to see " I believe this is him acknowledging his death (Pushing the pieces in place), and as he is entering heaven, he is smiling for all to see. Just my interpretation, I absolutely love imagining that scene. Even though i am not a religious person, Truly the most beautiful and emotionally evoking song i've ever heard. That is not an exaggeration. |
