The Jesus and Mary Chain – Just Like Honey Lyrics 18 years ago
I don't think that just because the song is about sex that that cheapens the overall message. I think that the song is most definitely about sex, but the sex in this song is analogous to sacrificing joy at your own expense so another can have pleasure. The sex described in the song seems hardly enjoyable on the main character's part, "Walking back to you" and "Eating up the scum" being the most difficult things possible for him, yet he still returns to this woman. The lines "It's so good" and "Just like honey" seem like lies that the character says to his partner so that she doesn't discover that, in fact, the singer is miserable and derives no pleasure from the act whatsoever. I take "eating up the scum" not to refer to him eating his own semen following post-coitus cunnilingus, but rather the act of cunnilingus itself; he sees the woman's vagina as scum, yet still subjects himself to the displeasure of the act solely to make her happy.

Tomahawk – Harelip Lyrics 18 years ago
Actually, scratch that. I think a lot of the song has oxymorons in it:

Harelip (defect of the lip) - One more kiss

Mardi Gras - deserted Streets

Raw meat - muzak

surgery - people dancing and laughing

potbelly - sweatbreads (which are not actually breads, but the organs of veal)

Lonely vacation - Euro-disney

Cat Stevens – Father And Son Lyrics 18 years ago
The way I heard it, the son wants to go off to war, but the father doesn't want him too.

I think the song is about a victim of child molestation.

Tom Waits – Just the Right Bullets Lyrics 18 years ago
If I read the liner notes correctly, this song is actually about a heroin dealer/addiction.
