i think this song's about a lot of things. siblings, a lover, family in general... i feel like this towards my brothers ALL THE TIME. i'll always love them, no matter how much we fight and i'll always be there for them, no matter how many times i tell them i hate them. |

well, i'm not sure exactly what the lyrics mean, but i'll give it a shot because i LOVE the song. so pretty. anyways. so, writer's dating this girl. he might love her, i dunno, i'm not the writer. anyways. so she's tempted by this other dude and he was expecting her to be strong enough to hold out, to say no. and she didn't. she cheats on him and now they're over and he's all, "sweetpea, we coulda still been together if you'd kept your mouth to yourself." "i know you got him, that is how you lost me." "you know you messed things up, that's how you lost my trust and now you're lost and it's all because you were not strong enough." |

alright. so, i actually made an account, just so i could comment this song. and you wanna know why? because the meaning behind the lyrics is so OBVIOUS. people, however, will choose not to believe what they don't want to. when you're in a relationship with God, you love him. it's a LOVING relationship. so yes, this is a love song. no, it's not about a boyfriend, or a lover, or an ex; it's about how whoever wrote the song (funny how everyone assumes the vox are the songwriters) LOVES GOD. you might assume i'm a Christian because i got it, but i'm struggling with my faith. i'm angry with God, but i still understand. i still know what she's saying, y'know? if you'd like to argue with me, go right on ahead. this song is not PERVERTED, nor is it related to anything other than the writer's relationship with God. |
