3 Doors Down – Let Me Be Myself Lyrics 17 years ago
This indeed is a great song but you have to put it into perspective. After listening to it once, I loved it. Listening to it 20 times I realized that its more than just some not wanting to change. He has been someone for everyone but himself in relationships. He hides from it and tries to cope with the fact that he isn't the person that he has always been. This song can be set into many perspectives. Maybe he became a person that he really isn't to impress someone. Maybe he is with someone that is overpowering him and won't let him engage in the happiness of his own life and making him become a person that is emotionally deprived from the passions of life. In my perspective... He is with someone that he isn't himself with. There are alot of emotions, but not the right ones. He's tired of waiting for someone to let someone say "Be yourself, if you're not happy, be with someone that you are yourself with." If you are with someone that you're not happy with, don't connect with, don't communicate with, you can't be happy. How can you be yourself if you're not happy?

Three Days Grace – Over and Over Lyrics 18 years ago
To me this song means that the guy makes a mistake and has to live with it everyday. Every he wakes up feeling dead because of what he did to ruin his relationship. He's tried everything to get past that point in his life where he lost the person that he loved and he tries to make it up. This is what I'm going through now so thats how I relate it. "Here I go again, chasing you down again, why do I do this." Because he can't stop thinking about how he lost the most amazing person that came into his life.

Tim McGraw – If You're Reading This Lyrics 18 years ago
I won't take your right to what you believe in. But I will take my right into a strong perspective. When you have cancer, noone shows you that they don't agree with you. Everyday I am ridiculed. Some days people show their appreciation, but other days people look at me and show emotions anywhere from ashamed to angry. I face people the same way every day.

Tim McGraw – If You're Reading This Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about a dying soldier. "Lay me down, in that open field out on the edge of town" refers to the memorial cemetary in Washington DC. "Halfway around the world" refers to being in a warzone somewhere across the world. I have my doubts that it has anything to do with cancer. I myself am a soldier currently serving in the Army National Guard. This song gives me goosebumps and I don't think that it has anything to do with battling cancer. I'm sure that you could find other songs like that. This song has been more inspirational to me that anyother war song that I've heard. "War was just a game we played when we were kids"... I don't think that kids act like they had cancer. I will be leaving for Iraq and my fiance is pregnant, and I won't be able to be here for the birth. So if you think that this song is about something other than the life and death of a true American Soldier, I will hold my side of the argument. Until then realize how much this song means to people who fight so that others can be free. We are not appreciated as much as you would think. People just think that war is a part of life. Not this war. This war stands for the freedom and strength of our country. The fact that he says "There's gonna come a day, when you'll move on and find someone else and thats okay. Just remember this, I'm in a better place. Where soldiers live in peace and sing Amazing Grace." That is knowing that if something should happen to him, He wants her to have a better life. Hope you enjoyed my views because if you want more, I have plenty.
