i think the line "I feel the mountain where you bring it from is gonna please" is actually "I'll build a mountain will you bring it down and ruin it please" anyways i love this song i agree i think its about yohanna this song is on the same EP as million miles of water which is also about yohanna im not sure if its about a breakup or relationship or maybe just the relationship he had with her in general its a great song all the same |

hands down one of my favorites by them whenever i feel upset or lonely i listen to it it doesnt necessarily make me feel better but it makes me think and feel less alone like someone else out there is going through this too its not just me i think this song is reffering to scar tissue, or any hurt from the past that sticks with somebody, and how they wish people could see what happened to them how much they hurt and why they are the way they are in the book scar tissue by anthony he says he was sitting on a roof and he saw birds fly by and thats where "with the birds i'll share this lonely view" came from i think its also saying you;re never really alone with the birds i'll SHARE this lonely view like i said someones always sharing that loneliness with you wheather they live on the otherside of the world or in the next room you're never the only one feeling alone and hurt |

first of all..beautiful song i agree with a lot of the comments on here especially about it meaning not to strip their mind of their past and everything they used to be because that's what makes them who they are today.. i also think that no rhcp song has one meaning anthony poures his life out into his songs and i dont think they are meant to mean one thing each song, each phrase, and each individual word, means something different to each person that listens to it no song of theirs means specifically one thing this song in particluar i think is beautiful in that way though you dont know exactly what anthony means but theres something there that you cant quite put your finger on but it touches you all the same thats the beauty of their songs everybody can relate to them in one way or another |
