Couldn't find these lyrics anywhere, so I listened very carefully several times and tried to make it out as best as I could. The lines I'm most unsure of are those that start with 'ever' and 'held', which I wanted to mark to indicate my uncertainty; but I saw that it was against the site rules. Anyway, apologies if this isn't 100% - it's very hard to make out, as you've probably realised yourself :) Lovely song though. Not sure I could guess at its meaning, other than what's most obvious... having to let go of a dream you wish you could keep. I imagine most of us have been there... |
