Oops.... "I read The Road by Cormac McCarthy. It reminded me of a dream I had when I was five of my father climbing up this black mountain into nowhere. I don’t know what it was exactly; maybe the turning point in my life when I realized that people die and won’t always be there for you to love." -Geoff |

| At the Drive-In – Non-Zero Possibility Lyrics | 17 years ago |

This may be the most ridiculous thing ever but I am DELIRIOUS and after reading the theory of it following Quarantined... anyone ever think the possibility (no pun intended) that it's based on the book: "I Am Legend" "Just tired of counting bodies" - infected people "Is this mausoleum tardy?" - his death "let's just paint you a pretty face" - wanting to find a cure "flies dip tongues into tear ducts. in toothpicks fought unborn." - literal "contusion is hungry, they still eat their young." - the virus won't stop spreading "proto-culture null and void" - the former human race is completely over "all veins in highway laps, this breath colllapsed again." - how the disease affects them "this hex was delivered spent." - a death hex "orchestra influenza" - the sounds of the diseased as the night falls "drawn and quartered pets" - quartered can mean a group. "it dwells and grows". - disease "this is the pocket-sized edition" - the hero's life cut short "rapid sleep through benediction" - accepting death to help others "let's just paint you a pretty face" - what he's hoping will happen after "museums mark their bodies down" - what he's hoping will happen "and the tenants found all the distance in their prefix" - the survivors live on to realize the drastic change in their lives they started with (their prefix) "fever bliss into central nervousness" - fever can mean a trend. so everyone is happy all over (central nervousness). "Bitten on the entrance" = being vaccinated as everyone he knew died or became infected, making him bitten in the sense of the vaccine and almost cursed for being alone. ---- And no, I have not read the book. Bring on the lul comments. |

| At the Drive-In – 198d Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| "198d" was written about drummer Tony Hajjar's grandmother, who was buried in a mass grave in Lebanon. The title was taken from an inscription on her gravestone. ---wikipedia | |
