yeah, I agree that it's about us sinning, but also that they're remembering the time that they first gave their life to Jesus, and how in love they were with Him. "I recall going madly in love with you "I recall pledging my sole devotion to you" and now i'ts like they've messed up and sinned and fell away from God so it's almost like they've forsaken Him and it's only a memory now...
