My take on this song is more spiritual then how most people interperet this one.
Allrite..so the happy folk represent Americans, and how we are ignorant and blind to many of the sins of the world. The strangefolk represent the American government, who tend to sometimes do acts that really can be considered wicked. We as Americans really do not realize how much we really do to that end.
And now for the spriitual part. The mountain represents Iraq. Iraq is in the fertile crescent. This is a very religious area, with it being mentioned in the bible. In revelations, this site will be the site for the final battle between good and evil. This is obviously triggered by many forces gathering there to trigger this. America is there, and this song represents america triggering the final battle and gods wrath. (the mountain speaking) |
