"I wanna love, I wanna leave, I want you to love me, I want you to leave me." It sounds like he wants the relationship to work, but he knows it'll be better for both of them if it ends. He's begging one of them to leave, though he still wants to love her and be loved. "I wish I could be somebody else Wish I could see you in myself Wish there was something inside me To keep you beside me" He wishes that there was more of a connection or that they had more in common, to "see her in himself". And he wants her to, if she's going to love him, love him for the person he is, not whatever front he may have put up. "I should have told you everything" He wants to go back and prevent whatever misconceptions led to this point in the relationship, or lack of one. |

| This is one of the best on the new album... I've had it on repeat for an hour. To me it seems like they're talking about trying to fit in in LA and how people are always out to take down anyone who's a perceived threat to them. They're trying to stick to the reasons they formed a band in the first place... their music. | |

I have never figured out why this song didn't make the cut for "Fallen." It's one of my favorites. To me, it's about everyone who has ever pretended for someone else, and what happens when that disguise starts falling apart. "I know the difference between myself and my reflection," meaning who she really is and who she's pretending to be. "But I can't help but wonder, which of us do you love" Questioning if the real her is the one that he wants. Absolutely beautiful. |
