| The Beatles – Girl Lyrics | 18 years ago |

It pains me to say this... But if this song HAS to do with drugs... Don't yell at me please, this is just an idea... It could be talking about his relationship with drugs like a relationship with a girl. "when I think of all the times I've tried so hard to leave her/she will turn to me and start to cry.." all the times he's tried so hard to quit drugs, but his addiction get the better of him "And she promises the earth to me and I believe her/after all these times I don't know why" people SOMETIMES think that by taking drugs, they can be great and amazing. Every time this guy tries to quit, he wonders why he thought that. the girl who came to stay? He will never brake his addiction. A man will break his back to earn his day of leisure. He will do anything to get his drugs. Will she still believe it when he's dead? Do drugs really feel sorry for the people they've killed? AND it could also be comparing that girl to drug abuse. Not my favorite Beatles song, but it's still good and I agree with anyone who says that this has nothing to do with drugs. I hate how people always think songs all have to do with drugs. AND I'M NOT A HYPOCRITE! but if this had anything to do with drugs, that would be my viewpoint. Peace |

This is a very catchy song... I also like the backround vocals ah ah ah ah ahhhhhhhhh...! Drummers are so very cute when they sing. Anyways, I was listening to this and (forgive if I'm wrong, I learned this in third grade) I thought: hmmm... a ruby is a diamond, and a diamond is the hardest mineral.. rock... thing that you can have. Could it be could it be? jk! I was just thinking that our Ruby girl has a very hard personality, yet she is shiny and very attractive... she certainly didn't treat this guy fairly anyway. Cheers! |

| Nick Drake – Time Has Told Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this song is so nice, but from what I know about Nick, it probably has a deeper meaning. Here's what I think: this song is about his deal with Island Records. They're a "rare rare find" he shouldn't "ask for more," even though his sales weren't so good. "For someday our ocean, will find its shore" For someday his songs and music will be known. I also know that Nick didn't really want to be famous, but he kind of did too. It was like an anomaly. sooooo, he'll "leaving the ways that are making him be what he really doesn't want to be" Island records has to "stand by his side" because someday, he will sell records. A lot of his songs have to do with himself. This is just my interpretation. But without thinking about it too much, it really is just a wonderful, simple song. Nick was a great poet and guitarist. | |
