I think this song is about suicide... i figured it out while reading a really sad story and it fittet... A girl in an abusive relationship gives up and killes herself.. the boyfriend is trying to stop her or get to her... Sparkling grey Through? my own veins (Isn't it "in my own veins"?) Any more than a whisper Any sudden movement of my heart And I know, I know I'll have to watch them pass away *I'm not really sure about what the first verse is about. it could be that she has injected (sp?) herself with something "sparkling grey" and is thinking and waiting for it to work... it could be that she injected it in the morning and it works so slow that she wont die until the evening.. Just get through this day *she just has to get through this day and nothing more* Give up your way, you could be anything, *if he'd step from his violent and cold side he could do anything to his life* Give up my way, and lose myself, *she can't do that because then she wouldn't be herself anymore* not today That's too much guilt to pay *she's atleast not gonna change today because there is to much guilt for her to pay, she has to undo this* Sickened in the sun You dare tell me you love me But you held me down and screamed you wanted me to die *she saying that one moment the sun was shinging, he told her he loved her and everything was fine, and then in one quick moment he was suddenly holding her down and telling her he wanted her to die* Honey you know, you know I'd never hurt you that way *he is regretting, maybe she has locked herself in her room, or the bathroom and is intending on dying there, and he is knocking on the door protesting what she's saying to him, he'd never hurt her like that, she's delutional.* You're just so pretty in your pain *then he ads this 'you're just so pretty in your pain' which tells us he got something out of seeing her scared and hurt.* Give up my way, and I could be anything *again he could do anything with his life if he wasn't so violent* I'll make my own way Without your senseless hate....hate...hate.....hate *she has choosen a path that does not involve his hatred on her* So run, run, run And hate me, if it feels good I can't hear your screams anymore *in this sentance it became more clear to me that she was killing herself, the world around her comes blurry and she starts loosing her sences, it doesn't matter though he tries to get in, though he hates her for doing this. She stoppes caring and is starting to feel the relief of dying* You lied to me But I'm older now And I'm not buying baby *he promises her everything, that he'll be better, he'll stop hurting her. but she knows him to well, she knows he lied to her, maybe he has said to her a long ago that he would never hurt her and he lied. so she's not bying this time. she doesn't want to belive him anymore* Demanding my response Don't bother breaking the door down I found my way out *he's screaming and knocking on the door, drying to break in, she's telling him it's pointless, she's already made her way out of this relationship, this life.. And you'll never hurt me again *and in her relief she knows he can never hurt her again..* This is just the way i see the song. not anyone elses. i could be wrong but this is probably something amy wanted to to because either ben or shaun were abusive... or maybe someone else... :P i don't know... this is just my point of view... |

I don't know what it is, but it's something they put up... who is talking i don't know, could be fake, could be real... all i know that the "purity" case isn't real BUT it is based on a real crime that goes much alike, i read about it on wikipedia that her name was Adrianne Knight not purity and she was burried alive... that's my theory.. it is partly true i think... but again don't blame me if i'm wrong... One more thing... after the -gone gone without a trace- she says something more and it took me a while to figure out what it was... but it actually - ecart a touhtiw enog, enog - or the other sentance repeated backwards... :S creepy... |

To me this song is about temptation A woman (most likely) his tempted by a man who is not single (I think it might have some relations to the married manager that sexually harrased her), he want's her and invitets her his "love". -You don't remember my name, I don't really care- he doesn't remember her name, maybe he talks to her and calles her other names, she doesn't really mind because her feelings for him don't exist anyway so they can't be hurt. She is not sleeping with him but he is tempting her. -Can we play the game your way? Can I really loose control? - it is actually like he is convincing her that it is okay to do it, cheating once, loosing control once, is alright, it's forgiveable because he has done it before, it's his way of playing the game, cheating. She wants to loose control, she's tired of being the one who gets hurt and wants to be the one who hurts another for once (kinda harsh but seems fair to me). -Just once in my life, I think i'd be nice just to loose control, just once. With all the pretty flowers in the dust - now she's talking to herself, it would be nice, to loose control, be a bitch and do what she want's for once, but just once, not ever again.
