It would seem to me that Tricky is feeling futile; time is carrying on and one days his numbers up (direct the drummers= inevitability?), he's being used- the ride my train/ drink my vein bit is meaningless sex possibly- hes unfocused on his life perhaps- he cant relax, needs to meditate/ focus/ get things in perspective. Having martina echo the same lyrics perhaps insinuates his girlfriend(s)/ meaningless sex partners are in the same emotional rut. Already on the other side- hes not living his life, he might as well be dead. Sam x |

I saw this performed live at Latitude yesterday, and I think it was the best gig I have ever been to, perhaps next to seeing Arcade Fire play in a church. Pallett played violin on stage with Arcade Fire yesterday also. Blew my mind :] Sam x |
