He is in awe of this girl whenever she is in sight. he gets nervous and doesnt know how to talk infront of her. he is at lost for words when is is speaking to her. | At this point he already knows he's lost this girl that he loves (his ex). He knows deep in his heart there wont be a second chance and that he wont get her back but he cant convince himself that thats true. So he doesnt let go cos he knows he is nothing without her and soon feels as if the end of the world is near (as in the video). He is beggin and seeking for her forgivness by offering her a flexible future. he would give up anything for her. He just wants one more chance cuz he claims to have learned from his mistake. He sooner or later realizes hes not gonna get her and thats its not the end of the world. Gary Lightbody is a very intelligent song writer. He can present his feelings in so many ways. He has not gotten over this girl, which is why he continues to write about her thru Snow Patrol's 'Final Straw' and 'Eyes Open' albums. | |
