"Then heard him wreckin' with The Crystal Method, 'Name Of The Game'"- Ryu's rap from "Name of the Game" by the Crystal Method. Actually, just about anything made by the Crystal Method is gold. The flow from him in the song though is actually really good. |

I'm pretty sure this song is referring to the Dead Kennedys. They had a song called Too Drunk to Fuck, and they're both about getting really wasted. |

One of the few rap songs I like. I think the end is:
Rhythm to the rhythm-less
Shame to the shameless
Money to the moneyless
and names to the nameless
That sounds better to me. |

I like this Nathaniel's version better. I usually prefer the originals. The Maine is just too poppy IMO to get the same message across as Nathaniel/Ivory(?) John's version isn't bad, but it just doesn't hit me the same way. Can't wait till these songs are up for DL. |

It bothers me when people don't realize that "Spell konfusion with a 'k'" originated from SoCo and they think it's from Amber Pacific. I think it's really cool how HP always puts references into their songs. |

I didn't really bother with digging around on the net because the first page of results on google for the lyrics didn't seem to have them at a glance. So I just listened and wrote them out. I'm not so sure about the "You softly see my eyes part..." part though. Apparently not that many people have heard this song. |

I think it's about a break-up, where he's unsure about whether or not the reason for it was real. I think he's wondering whether or not their mutual friends BS'd anything to get them apart. I'm probably off by a mile though... |

lol, funny thing is, "your eyes have changed" sounds weird and out of place to me, and "ion vein" never made much sense to me either, so they're both still kinda weird for me. Yea, the new version is definitely weirder for me. I've stopped listening to Saosin for a while, and when I just listened to the new one, it sounds strange. The new one sounds a little more fine-tuned and had things added, while the old seemed more simple. Both have their pros and cons. |

The Clash was one of the bands that brought punk to America, so they played a big part in it's birth in America. As for the genre itself, I've always like The Clash more than The Ramones for some reason. Anyways, great song. Has that catchy edge to it, but still has punk lyrics. Unlike that shit on the radio these days such as, let's see...Good Charlotte? |

| Anti-Flag – You've Gotta Die for the Government Lyrics
| 18 years ago

|
As an experiment, I think it'd be awesome, if all of our troops were withdrawn, and all contact and aid to the outside world cut off for a decade. I'm pretty sure the world will fall to shit. America has been the police force for the majority of the 21st century and more. We aid those who need it, and although we do do shit that has none of our business, I guarantee you every other developed country does it too, but just not as on such a large basis. America fuckin' rocks. If you hate her so much? GET THE FUCK OUT. As for Anti-Flag, they can say whatever they want, Freedom of Religion. I learned that from my US History teacher. I should still stop listening to him eh? Oh and we wouldn't be able to say whatever we want about our government if it wasn't for that right. As for the song, it's pretty self-explanatory. They don't agree with the military, and they didn't like the draft. They can say whatever they want. At least there's a reason behind it instead of some BS pop-shit played on MTV. |

Haha, LNikky. I just watched American Pie Naked Mile and this song plays at the very end when the credits begin to roll. You're pretty much right on target with what you're thinking and the outcome of the movie. Stifler and Tracey end up happy, won't spoil any more. Anyways, I was like, "Hey, this is The Juliana Theory" when it began. I was so surprised to hear it. Good song. Nothing wrong with it being catchy. |

One night stand? Regretful that he slept or made out with her even though she's engaged and that it'll never work. As their doing whatever it is their doing, he acknowledges it and wonders if this is what she really wants, but in the end, he just decides to go with it.
My guess. |

Yea, I found him on Purevolume.com. Thanks! I think if he stayed on his own, his stuff wouldn't be a let down either compared to Ivory, but I think there's something about a band instead of only an individual that makes the music better. |

When did Leon pass away? I was watching Rock History or something like that on the History Channel and one part was about the evacuation of Americans from Vietnam. This song was playing in the back, and they said they referred to the heli's as freebirds sometimes. So I guess if this was written during or after the fall of Saigon, it would be about somebody leaving Saigon on a helicopter. |

| Fall Out Boy – This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
I miss the old FOB...I'm sorry, but I think their first album was the hardest, and smack you in the face emotion...This was made to be played on the radio. Realize that the radio never plays anything that has to do with emotion unless it is by some whiny teen pop band that I could write for.
"You need him .. I should be him
I could be an accident but I'm still tryin'
And that's more than I can say for him
Where Is your boy tonight?
I hope, he is a gentleman..
And maybe he won't find out what I know:
You were the last good thing about this part of town"
^Probably some of the best stuff to come from them.
Some people like this kind of music, and I'm fine with that, but most fail to realize that at it's core, modern rock is still thriving with riffs, meaningful words, and reminiscent of its roots. This...is just MTV rock. |

You mean what I think about that line?
I think it means that a trait that all humans were born with (like the want of personal gain) will be the end of us. Like one day, when the world starts falling apart, man will start hoarding things for individuals instead of working together to solve the problem at hand. |

| Ivory – There She Goes Lyrics
|
To elaborate a bit,
"and she said that she wanted to stay
but she cannot it's time to leave
and she said that she wanted to wait
in heaven, where she will be happy.
"My dear God why have you forsaken me?"
Cause I've cried out to you so loud and i have been praying...
nd where is that unfaling; amazing grace to see
and where is that sweet sound you took from me?""
I think that's saying that she didn't want to die, but she couldn't help it, and Nathaniel is asking somebody (God?) why his prayers weren't answered. He believed in him, and he failed him?
And I'm guessing the sweet sound is her voice. |

This song is in World In Conflict.
It's a game about what would have happened if the Cold War never happened, Russia invaded Europe, and made a surprise invasion on US soil. It's a real time strategy game. I highly recommend it. I guess the connection between the game and song is pretty obvious. |

Whoops, didn't finish that thought...I heard that he got drunk, slept with a girl, and his girlfriend walked in on him, hence the references to drinking and being naked.
I also think "...dying in another's arms..." means finding somebody you love and hugging them/holding onto them. Like how it's said when you're in a moment of extreme happiness that you could just die and go to heaven. He loves her so much that he could die a happy man whenever he holds her. |

I think it has to do with a guy's girlfriend who partied 24/7 and was a slut. And in the end, she'll actually meet a guy who she wants to spend the rest of her life with, but she already lost her virginity and what not. (To the boy who gets your heart someday
And your used body). |
