Kanye West – Flashing Lights (feat. Dwele) Lyrics 15 years ago
As to the whole "Mona Lisa" part, you have to listen to the lyric before it...

"First class with the seat back I still see ya

In my past you on the other side of the glass
Of my memory's museum

I'm just saying, hey Mona Lisa
Come home you know you can't Rome without Caesar"

He refers to her as the Mona Lisa because of the museum reference he makes. As for the Rome part, it's just his word play on the word "roam".

Juelz Santana – There It Go (The Whistle Song) Lyrics 18 years ago
I agree 100 percent yosareann. I'm not into this type of music either. I enjoy music with meaning and such. HOWEVER, I am a sucker for bass, and this song is nothing but brutal bass. The meaning of the song...none. It's just his way of "spitting" at a girl. But damn, if that beat isn't catchy.

Devotchka – You Love Me Lyrics 18 years ago
Typical love song about being broken hearted and lied to. Beautiful vocals. It's tragically beautiful to see how the song begins with such promising lyrics, only to conclude with "I thought you loved me."

A Perfect Circle – Rose Lyrics 18 years ago
Actually, the song starts off with someone being the victim (or bullied). Whether it's domestic abuse, i don't know. But the first verse seems like he/she doesn't want to disturb the abuser while he/she are doing their abusing. The second verse speaks as if bullied person has to sneak around the bully so that the bully wont attack again. This taking crap from the bully and sneaking from him compromises who that person really is. So that's when the narrator realizes that he/she is not going to take it anymore, and streams off examples of what he/she feels like ("your
Deer, in the headlights, shot down and horrified" i.e. her being the deer and he's the "doe" driving). The only resolution for this is by killing him (kneel down, gun-shy, martyr, pitiful"). These phrases put together give off the presence of death, hence with a gun. The narrator ends with, "I rose, I roared, I will, I am" a stunning conclusion to what happens when you "push, pull, shove" someone for too long.
