To me, this song embodies the fact that time can not mend every wound completely, sometimes the guilt of what we've done, and the anguish of knowing we get what we deserve sometimes (although sometimes unnecessarily magnified), is incredibly frustrating. No matter how far along we get in life, we'll always have something that we are not proud of.
But it also teaches us to pick up where we were left, even alone, and continue on without thinking about it too much, because what else can we do? |

I think this is a fitting song to what was Gary Zon's last song for his "last" album for Dismantled. It sounds like he could never live up to the standards that were superimposed onto him by either himself or someone else no matter what he did, and rather than subject himself to what everyone else wanted, he killed the project. |
