this song is fucking EPIC when bryce performs it live. he puts so much emotion and passion in his voice when he sings, it's incredible. he switches from guitar to piano during the song, and he was just phenomenal at both. ahhh, i definately recommend you see him live before he gets big, cause i'm pretty sure he will. and i definately agree with sx_edge. most of bryce's songs are linked to his faith, but are sometimes misinterpreted as love songs. well maybe they can double in meanings, which makes bryce such a talented writer. SHIT, i'm rambling, sorry. lol, um but yeah, i see this as a song about God and how he's willing to do what he asks him to do. |

shot in the dark here.. but what i think this song sounds like to me is that craig, or whoever the guy is, is with this girl. the girl expresses that she loves him, but he's uncertain of her intentions, or of his own, and thinks that she's just saying it for the sake of wanted to be loved herself. ("you simply say it because you like the way that it sounds") with that, he feels uncomfortable with the situation.. which is what i think the "i feel weak" part of the song is. or it could be that he is so torn between believing that she loves him or not. dunno. but for the most part, the guy in this situation isn't sold on her proclaimed love for him, so he is very hesitant and refuses to believe her. and for the "fit to be tied" part? tied? married? ahha .. it's a stretch, but it sort of makes sense i suppose. so all-in-all .. i'm thinking of a very unstable relationship in this song. i could be very wrong, but whatever. |

call me old fashioned, but chiodos were kind of better with their old stuff like this. not saying that their new stuff sucks, but yeah. . just my personal opinion. i like the little beat they go into at the 1:10 mark. this song gives me the feel for enjoying wherever you are. dunno why. ps, these lyrics are really jumbled. lol. the last lines are a verse before the repeated chorus .. and i'm pretty sure it goes : "these strings are the only ones connected to my heart, that no one can play with. these are the only strings connected to my heart, that no one can play with. that no one can play with!" ..then go back to "we're making up for each bitter tongue....." but no big deal .. props to putting this up. |

um .. the title for the 6th harry potter book is like .. harry and the half blood prince or something. lol. but if you mean that the title is one of the lines in the book, then nvm. anyways .. i'm thinking this song is about a girl and a guy being together. the guy's friends don't really approve of the girl, or they judge her which makes the guy unhappy. the spider singing alone thing confuses me. i'm pretty sure my explanation is pretty far than craigs initial intention of what he wants the song to be about, so i'll just stop here. lol. |

i think dropdeaddylan has got something. these lyrics really do depict what a showdown between satan and god could be. but more of satan's point of view. but at the end of the lyric when it says "I existed because I dreamed and well, I dream no more I've given up on the entire human race. ", it sounds as though god is saying that. why? cause people sin alot .. i have no friggen clue, but that's just what i think. the relationship point of view also makes sense too, but personally, the showdown sort of thing appeals more to me. |

hah k well, i'm probably going to be repeating what about 500 people have already said, but this song is pretty deep. i've heard this song a few years back, ironically when a similar situation between me and my "friend" occured. i'm not gonna get into detail since it's the internet and all .. but these lyrics lay out all my emotions and frustrations that i was dealing with at the time. this song is such an easy piece to relate to, which probably makes it such a "hit" or whatever. it also helps that the lyrics have crafty sarcastic lines, and clever contradictions. and props to insightxx for that little biblical referance. hah. |

haha, k well .. this song has a real good feel. almost bluesy. the lyrics seem to me like people in general are all close minded to others personal opinions. we're all too into ourselves and what we stand for to let anyone else's opinion in. people are too ignorant for other peoples interpretation on views of the world or whatever. in a sense at the end of the lyrics it seems like erak has given up and is just caught up in the grand scheme of things. but at the same time he wants to make people aware of what we're doing by saying "I'll put this down to pull you in and hear the sound". this sort of reminds me of the book the celestine prophecy. not the exact interpretation, but a loose connection. and c'mon, let's not pick fights against people here .. if that was that kids personal opinion, leave it be. it's his/her own opinion on what he thinks about the song and the album. and plus, it's just the internet .. let's get over ourselves shall we? |

ye yeee, this song is pretty alright. i've heard another song from their new album dropping september 4th. it's called pirates & rebels. i was thinking of putting down the lyrics here, but i can't make out shit of what craig's saying, lol. only a few parts, but not good enough to submit the whole lyric so yeah. i think this song, in all simplicity, is that he hates the shit outta this girl. something along the lines of that anyways .. tbh, i like their older songs much better .. the ones as you guys have said before that didn't follow the verse chorus verse style. but whatevs, they're growing stylistically in their music i suppose, and i guess i'm not used to their change just yet. but still.. can't wait for their new album! |
