My thought of this song is: After a few years from Newo's affair with Al; leading the break up of Claudio and Newo... Claudio has found Newo with another man and a baby. and where he says: "Do you really think he's coming back to you?" reffering to Newo expecting him back. and i think that Claudio was kinda in denial due to being so pissed off with her because she's moved on and he hasn't, basically claudio is saying "Oh, i wasn't coming back anyway, i wasn't going to give you another chance anyway, so it doesn't matter, haha if you thought that." I would expect this other man to be 'Al the killer' but then again, he's dead. But however, it could be his kid. i think that the feathers are a metaphor for lots of different men... cheating on the man she's with as it would be expected (from past experience with newo IE - her and al's affair on the velourium camper) he thinks the worst of newo so he expects her to be hiding her feathers (men/love affairs) on the back porch of her house whilst she greets the man back from work... I think this is related to the REAL Claudio with Erica court like when he came back from tour perhaps and found that she'd cheated on him. [By the way, this is just a suggestion...
