It seems like the singer is trying to not feel bc his girl left him. But he feels that they should be together for ever-his intuition is saying so. He will fight for her love, protect her and won't give up. |

| Poe – Fly Away Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think it's about how someone has lost a love and it feels like the world is ending but there are so more important things going on in the world that the person feels guilty for being wrapped up in her broken heart. She's trying to act like it doesn't matter but it's the most important thing to her. The contact with the love is fading but the memories remain the same. It sounds like she trying to tell herself it's ok to let go and having trouble doing so. |

| I also forgot the mention that Angelina Jolie has bipolar so she is perfect for the video...I think it has something to do with one of her movies though. | |

This sounds like something a person with bi-polar would say-"..for this curse to leave me?" Bipolars have a problem with anger-If you look at their video, it shows how Korn is on the dark side while Angelina Jolie is on the light side-but as she comes over in the end she is changed. The anger is changing him to be more negative and he doesn't know how to stop it. He is giving up. In the end of the video Angelina Jolie changes back to the lighter, positive side-depicting the other path. Notice how she was walking in a dingy back alley when the song started and she walked out of the alley at the end of the song...showing that sometimes you have to walk through the dark alleys to get to the light/positivity. I put in the video reference because it seems to describe the lyrics very well. |

| Nickelback – Far Away Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It sounds as though it's something a couple would say to each other-one wouldn't be with the other for his own selfish reasons but realized that she is the one for him...so he's trying to finally speak honestly...Turns out they both loved each other but didn't know how to show it until now. She's the only one that would stand by him because she knows who he truly is when he didn't even know himself. She just didn't tell him until he was ready to hear it out of fear of being hurt...again... | |

To me, it sounds like he doesn't want to with his girl when she manages to squeeze some time in her busy schedule for him, because that is all the time he gets. He doesn't want to be a joke or play games.. The sleepwalk dance seems to me to be acting out what they assume of each other instead of just talking to each other to understand what the other wants. The good time part means that he doesn't want to be a friend with benefits and the fall back crutch must be that he doesnt want to be last choice or sloppy seconds. It sounds like he wants to let go and start new,but he wants to either be alone and start over completely OR just be alone with her 'in paradise' and start over completely. It's that tired feeling you get when you realize that you "can't live..with or with out..." the other person, but needs the other to cooperate to make things work. He thinks the relationship is diseased but fixable. Basically, there has been a problem with compromise, communication, and fear. The fear doesn't mean that they should be apart, in my opinion, in means that they need to trust each other to not make the other one hurt. Which is why the ocean symbolizes the idea of paradise- the relaxed feeling you get when you are in paradise-or on vacation - is healing for the spirit. Obviously this reminds me of someone I know. |

| Rollins Band – Liar Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This reminds me of a girl that was like my sister. She told me that my crush flirted heavily with her but really she was just jealous that he and I were getting along so well. Turns out she is a pathological liar and he is no where to be found. | |

| Toadies – Possum Kingdom Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I interpret this song to be about a guy who wants to seduce his gf but if she doesn't want to be his bride then he will kill her. It's about lust and obsession...if the song didn't have "do u want to die" on it then u would have a pretty nice n sexy song... it could be about vampires too, there r different ways to look at things |

| Nickelback – Far Away Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I think it is about a couple who misused their time and opportunities with each other. I say this because he was waiting for her to say she wants him, and visa versa. So he goes off to find his perfect mate elsewhere. She was the one who was always there for him and waiting for him when he was busy looking elsewhere. Now he realizes that he could have lost his chance with her because he took her for granted and because he was too chicken to tell her first that he cared for her. granted. So he tries to tell her that he misses her and loved her all along, hopefully she can forgive him for ignoring her and procrasinating in stating the obvious. |

There are many interpretations to this song. The idea that the bf is an abuser is one of the ideas, but I don't see it that way. I see it as a gf and a bf who fight because they are different, but thier views aren't that dramatic and that is why they don't break up. Their reactions have been dramatic, and you see that when couples yell at each other. No one is perfect, but as the song goes, she sees the good in him and can forgive him. "He gives her the most gorgeous sleep..." is that after the fight has ended, he sees his mistakes and tries to make it up to her to make her feel better. The idea is that he loses his temper and because he is emotionally involved. Love makes a person do that. It isn't ironic; it's life. Of course if the bf did an emotional abuse on a regular basis, then yes the song can be ironic. There is a cycle of domestic abuse that includes themes to this song if you are looking at it in that light. He just has problems with his temper (can be interpreted in many degrees) and needs discipline- like maybe don't leave a gallon of milk spilt all over the kitchen floor (see "Sweet Escape") Damn, look what I do when I avoid doing housework :) |

| Radiohead – High and Dry Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| To me this is a song about a guy who is trying to impress the wrong people in his life, the ones that don't matter in the long run and won't care if he exists or not. This reminds of me of the age old situation where a guy likes someone who doesn't care about him while he is ignoring someone else who would care about him. The second someone doesn't have what he wants, which in my opinion is to make him feel awful like the first someone does. | |
| Roxette – Dangerous Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is about a guy who is attracted to a girl who is both attractive and scary. She is scary because she is unlike anyone he has ever known before and he is afraid of the unknown. He tries to make himself think she is nothing but a game player but deep down he knows that he's just lying to himself because she's everything he ever wanted. He wants to protect himself from it but he is realizing that he likes being in the line of danger-especially because there may be nothing to fear. The passion seems dangerous because of the saying-Too much of a good thing is a bad thing. | |
| Evanescence – Sweet Sacrifice Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"Fear is only in our minds" means that we choose to be scared of something and that can be a defense mechanisms instead of dealing with the problem constructively. Would it kill anyone to freaking comment on the song for what they think it MEANS instead of saying if they like it or not? WHO cares if you give it 4 out of 5 stars? Did you get a degree reviewing music or do you just want to post something online so people would see how stupid you are? If you think this website is for reviewing the song then you are on the wrong website! The website is "SongMeanings.net" That means- what do YOU think the SONG MEANS!? |

| Seven Mary Three – My My Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song means that on the outside, he is indifferent to her psychosomatic cries for help. Underneath his cold exterior, as the phonograph says, he enjoys the attention and doesn't want her to leave. Over all she is trying to get the courage to go as trying to convince him that they should be together has been physcially as well as emotionally, hurting her. | |
| Within Temptation – What Have You Done Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Considering that the correct lyric is this... "Would you mind if I hurt you? Understand that I need to Wish that I had other choices than to harm the one I love What have you done now! I know I'd better stop trying You know that there's no denying I won't show mercy on you now I know, should stop believing I know, there's no retrieving It's over now, what have you done? What have you done now! I, I've been waiting for someone like you But now you are slipping away... oh Why, why does fate make us suffer? There's a curse between us, between me and you What have you done! What have you done! What have you done! What have you done! What have you done now! What have you done! What have you done! What have you done! What have you done! Would you mind if I killed you? Would you mind if I tried to? Cause you have turned into my worst enemy You carry hate that I don't feel It's over now What have you done? What have you done now! I, I've been waiting for someone like you But now you are slipping away... oh Why, why does fate make us suffer? There's a curse between us, between me and you What have you done! What have you done! What have you done! What have you done! What have you done now! What have you done! What have you done! What have you done! What have you done! What have you done now, what have you done?... I will not fall, won't let it go We will be free when it ends I, I've been waiting for someone like you But now you are slipping away... oh Why, why does fate make us suffer? There's a curse between us, between me and you I, I've been waiting for someone like you But now you are slipping away... oh Why, why does fate make us suffer? There's a curse between us, between me and you" I think that the song talks about someone not wanting to hurt the one they love. He/she has no choice because the person has hurt them for the last time. They will not show mercy on them because it is for their own good. The person then hates the lover for rejecting them, but the lover doesn't hate them. They are meant for each other but they can't be together when there are problems like this in a relationship. |
