ITS NOT ABOUT IRAQ. not everything has to tie to recent events. It's just about robots taking over the world as technology continues advancing. simple |

| Drop Dead, Gorgeous – Girl, Are You On Your... Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
No one seems to have brought the title into the song. I don't think its about rape, I just think its about straight pressure that the guy is applying on the girl. Obviously, before they do it, he asks "are you on your.... period." She must have said no, so they went through with it, which he soon realized was a mistake. I also have the image in my mind that the streets running red involves blood, I hope thats not its intention though :| |

| Arctic Monkeys – Do Me a Favour Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Well to me its obvious that the whole intro part involves the big break up. the guy probably took her on a quick car ride, where he ended up breaking up with her. and then with all the guilt he was feeling he goes to say "do me a favour and break my nose" as if it will make him feel less guilty. he'd rather feel hatred and physical pain than the guilt and sorrow of an ended relationship my take on it anyway |

| Arctic Monkeys – This House Is a Circus Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This song is obviously relevant to a house party, which obviously involves drugs/alcohol. Of course all the guys are trying to find a girl for the night, and get lucky. I like the line "What it's done to your friends Their memories are pretend And the last thing that they want is for the feeling to end" Memories being pretend meaning they won't remember anything because of intoxication. I get the feeling that the whole "Wriggling around in incidents you wont forget And there's certainly some venom in the looks that you collect Aimlessly gazing at the faces in the queue And we're struggling with the notion that it's life not film" has something to do with the idea of sex. maybe even being walked in on? or seen by other people? which leads to the venomous looks they receive |

Also I have no idea what that would have to do with the last few lines of the song. Maybe I'm just crazy |

Ok, so. After rereading the lyrics a couple times, I've come to the conclusion that this involves a car chase, or at least the writer is being chase by police while driving a "'88 red sports car" The whole first half of the song has many references, worn tires calling police old telescope? (I picture a helicopter camera) Cramped legs Passing in that reflection? I dunno, its just a thought. Feedback anyone? |

To me, the first lines, Lips are turning blue A kiss that can't renew What I think of is someone drowning, or dying of hypoethermia. CPR is the kiss but it's just too late |

So beautiful. The guitar right at the start always blows me away. This song soothes me when I get into those reminiscing moments about past relationships. Keep it up |
