| Bon Iver – Blood Bank Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Whenever I come on here, I often find that nobody shares my point of view about a song. And I think that's what's actually brilliant about lyrics, that they mean something completely different to each individual. So, here's my view on it... I see this song as the story of a relationship, where the guy is talking to the girl, about how they met, "Well I met you at the blood bank, etc.", about a secret she had, which I think is self-harm, though I'm probably co,pletely wrong - that's what it means for me! "I said I know it well, that sceret that you know, but you don't know how to tell, it fucks with your honor, and it teases your head, but you know that it's good, girl, because it's running you with red". He then goes on to talk about how they grew closer, getting stuck in the snow together, etc. And then I see it as a leap forward in time - they're married, and the secret becomes both of theirs "I said I know it well, that secret that we know, etc.". But he loves her anyway "I'm in love with your honor, I'm in love with your cheeks". The "Christmas morning creaks" could be a reference to children... Which could also explain the "That secret that we know, but don't know how to tell"... Anyway, that's just what it means to me. |

| Robert Francis – All Of My Trains Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I love this song - It sounds to me thought like it's "Chimney smoke through a maze of grass", but that could just be me :) Does it seem to anyone else that Robert Francis, amazing artist thought he may be, has a bit of an obsession with blood? It seem to come out a lot, especially in Pilgrims. |

| Placebo – Centerfolds Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I always imagine someone singing this song to someone they love and who has just tried to kill themselves . Finding them on the floor ( Fallen star ) and telling them they're not going to let them die because they love them so much and have be waiting so long for them to love them back . Anyway , just my vision of Centrefolds . | |

I'm wondering if this song could refer to someone dying . Maybe a suicide attempt ? After some kind of sentimental disappointment . "Waxing with the candlelight , burning just for you" sounds like he's burning away . "Stuck inside the circumstances , lonely at the top . I've always been an introvert happily bleeding" He's been let down and now is "lonely at the top" and is dying because he's tried to kill himself . "I've gotta breathe to stay alive ... feels like I'm gonna suffocate ... this skin that turns to blister blue" again references to someone dying ( not sure about the numbers though :S ) No idea what the "shoulders toes and knees" bit is about but "I'm 36 degrees" is like him getting colder and closer to death . Anyway that's my interpretation of this song . |

I have often felt this way about one person in particular, or everyone around me, and wondered if I died would they suddenly wake up and say "Isn't something missing?" I mostly agree with the other comments so not much more to say Beautiful song |

| Placebo – I Know Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"I know, the past will catch you up as you run faster" I just love that line, and I love the music too, I know what you mean, TimBuck2. I don't really know what this song is about but, being a songwriter myself, I think it is one of those songs only the writer and some of his/her closest friends really understand. That was a pointless comment but never mind |
