This song is really interesting to me mostly because of the lyrics... i think this song is beautiful and cruel at the same time. it's a (more or less) objective look from his perspective. It's beautiful because he doesn't want it to be over (hence "it's not over"), and because he accepts his follies in the heat of the moment ("if my thoughts could be here, they'd advice you to leave" and "at least we can think without reason or doubt"). Yet, remains almost cruel in both the subject, and the fact that he dismisses it ("i have replaced you at little expense"). nevertheless, one of my favs. |
