Well, it seems to be about someone close to the speaker dying... "Down" could refer to being under the earth, her (or him) looking down from heaven, or looking up from hell. The speaker would be "all the way down" if he killed himself to be with her (switch the pronouns around if you care to :P ).
The way he sings it, with the cello and/or double bass in the background... absolutely wonderful. :) The perfect song when you're feeling a bit down (err... no pun intended) yourself. |

You know... with the line "You belong to the gang," she could be engaged to a gang member. That would make her technically "belong" to them... and of course it would be to a member of the gang her brother's in, right? |
