First of all, if you listen past all the dead space after the music in "Brainfog", you'll hear alot of wierd shit starting at 7:26.....Among the weird shit, is the phrase "Otsego, amigo", repeatedly among other things like one pissed of Mexican, and other vocal tracks by themselves, with a little band-jam at the very end. ........"OTSEGO", is a Native American word for "Place of rock".... No shit, for real, I looked it up on reference.com. .....NOW, Does Static-X mean they are a place of ROCK? Rock music? I'm really tired of seeing people write about how they think Eddie "wasn't one of the most influential guitarists". Wake the fuck up, people! In the world of hard rock today as we know it - Eddie Van Halen and Tony Iommi are the MOST influential. Eddie added speed coupled with solos and riffs that actually make sense, not just fast picking and tapping, but clearly thought-out energy laced brilliance with feeling, more than anyone had ever done. Eddie was is an explorer into un-charted territory, and did it with absolute BRILLIANCE. Tony gave us the most heavy sounding blues-based riffs ever recorded, with a taste of BAD-ASS mixed in for good measure. Bad-ass evil Blues, that's what Tony gave. And ask any metal band today who their most influential guitarists are, and they'll tell you E.V.H. and T.I. I've read that in countless interviews. So FUCK OFF Eddy haters, you're all just stuck in a "Freebird" time-warp. Get with it, ASSHOLES. |
