This is my favourite song on the cd and to me it sounds as if he's waking up in a metaphor kind of way... waking up to the fear (paranoia) and robotic lives that we live in society... and I don't mean that in an emo way... it's quite political. The first verse says a lot of that... right away it's "paranoia's wearing thin now" and then "close my eyes, realize I've become the victimized now, desensitized now." And then talking about "The living dead awake" meaning we're like zombies and all of a sudden we wake up to the violent ways we live and that we're exposed to without thought (desensitized). One last line that makes me think this is "something's wrong because I, find the glamour in the darkside." But it also sounds like there's more to the song, I think that's just one aspect of it... thoughts? |

| Yes if you read the lyrics in this song you clearly see it's all about politics... same with underclass hero ya know... it's really all about Bush and Deryck hasn't even said over and over again "this album is not all politics." March of the Dogs is the only political song we've heard from it and they said there weren't any more. | |

"And only jump to take the blame" I think should be turned to "An only child to take the blame"... is there a way to edit? I've been waiting to for it to come up so I could fix it. and I love this song, I was kind of scared of the style they were going for cause it seemed too down... which really doesn't bother me but it could have bothered others... but the ending seems happy and made it perfect. Love this song. |

First off, I love the song. Second I've never understood why people see similarities between blink 182 and sum 41 but whatever, you guys have your own opinions. This definetely isn't applying to high schoolers, but to a general people that feels like the elite are always telling them what they should be and what perfect is. This song says fuck any higher powers who try to tell us who to be. We are who we are. That's just what I think it is... nothing immature about that message. There are some definete lyric errors there but it's pretty good. I won't correct any of it cause I don't know all of the lyrics and I don't know for sure. |
