And x333, I take the "Do you see what we've done? We've gone and made such fools Of ourselves" lines to be about how foolish they look to others, like the Cullen family. It's foolish to date a vampire who wants to kill you, and it's foolish to date a human who you want to kill. But that's just how I am taking it. |

I like the song, but I feel like this is one of their weaker songs overall. I don't think this song would have ever become a single if it wasn't for the Twilight fan-base, to be honest. This song's lyrics, also, seem rather weak to be a single, compared to their other singles, but then again look at songs like Take a Bow, weak lyrics, but become popular. Good song overall, just not one of their best. |

| I agree about the meaning of this song. Since Emmy never had a father, I definately believe this is about her father never wanting to come home and meet his daughter (another clue about that is the name part) and how she has grown up and realized she cannot let it hinder her any longer. | |

I don't think it sounds like Imogen Heap at all. Imogen Heap has a specific, unique quality to her music, and I think this is a bit different. Imogen Heap doesn't do 140 layers of her own voice! I cannot say I am not a bit surprised by the direction she took, but I absolutely love it. I believe the song is about how fast life is and how she wishes someone would, obviously, slow her down and let her experience life and love. |

I really doubt this song is about hurting herself for attention. Many people believe that is why people do that, but the truth is quite different. I believe this song is about her finally finding someone who completely understands everything about her and that she may have a few bruises but she still is fine to him/her. I also don't think this is about her not realizing she has a problem. I think that is like a sarcastic or maybe a "i'm ok now" statement. |
