| Laura Veirs – Wide-Eyed, Legless Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Here are the correct lyrics. From the insert :) * where corrections are Down among the dead The wide-eyed and the legless, only half a head Half a mouth to laugh in the porthole With the *mold and* faded epitaphs Will you ever more tie up my hair with velvet bows? Will you ever more pull out the splinters from my toes? I don't think so Out in the hornet rain the swarming stingers Pumping poison through my veins *Lying* on the star-crossed lover's map Take the beating lash, lash for lash Will we ever more kiss on the boardwalks fading *rail*? In the light of the waves and the comet's waning tail I don't think so No more looking back, looking back, looking back Faded epitaph No more looking back, looking back, looking back Faded epitaph No more looking back, looking back, looking back Faded epitaph No more looking back, looking back, looking back Faded epitaph |

| Sia – Sunday Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I don't think this song is as involved as you all think. My interpretation is simple: Sia sings about drug addicts and partiers - "For those who've kept themselves jacked up...For those who speed, for those who try to slow their minds with weed...For those who wake with a blind headache" They rest on Sunday (who doesn't? I know I do) which, to religious people, is the day of rest as yall mentioned earlier, but the "Jesus wept" part means she (and Jesus, obviously) doesn't condone the partying, but "it'll be okay...give yourself a break" The "guilt...wilt...milk" part still refers to the partiers...they feel guilty for all the crazy things they've done, the drugs and alcohol wilt them, in a sense. Simple as that. |

| Voltaire – Feathery Wings Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Aside from these lyrics being VERY incorrect, it's a beautiful song. Correct lyrics: You there on the bridge, where have you been? What's your name? And you there on the wall, where will you go to once you fall? You lost at sea, do you need me, do need directions? Hey, put down the gun. What are you thinking? You were someone's son. The taste of tears, the sting of pain, The smell of fear, the sounds of crying now. A long, long time ago I fell to this place from another dimension, And thrust amongst the beasts and the way they behave borders on dementia. And now through all these years I can barely take it, I don't think I can make it. Take me away from here, I want to go home...I'm so sick and tired of The taste of tears, the string of pain, The smell of ear, the sounds of crying it now. As you stand 'around the edge of your life What do you remember, was it all you wanted ? I'm trying to earn a set of feathery wings I wish I could protect you here Oh please don't cry now, smile As you stand 'round the edge of your life You're troubles are over, mine are just beginning. I'm trying to earn a set of feathery wings to take me away from here. It's me you leave behind. Oh, if only I could have been there, I'd be a hand for the sinking. If only I could have been there, I'd be a prayer for the dying. See the pain etched my face...oh, I'm so sick and tried of The taste of tears, the sting of pain The smell of fear, the sounds of crying now As you stand 'round the edge of your life, what do you remember, was it all you wanted it? I'm trying to earn a set of feathery wings I wish I could protect you here Oh please don't cry now, smile As you stand 'round the edge of your life You're troubles are over, mine are just beginning I'm trying earn a set of feathery wings to take me away from here It's me you leave... You're gone from here, don't leave from here, don't leave me here, i hate it here, you're gone from here, don't leave me here, i need you here, i need to see you smile. |
