Why has nobody understood "little sister" in the terms of this song. Fair enough Billy has described what inspired it. To me it is obvious that Billy is singing as a gang member/leader. Upon return he is getting an update hence "who's your Superman etc". Surely "little sister" is an reference to a female member in a gang or brotherhood or secret society. The rest of the song is him declaring hat he understands that nothing is perfect, and he wants "little sister" to be with him. And she could be if ("pick it up" = understand!) she's not deluded into going ahead with either a "shotgun" or "white" wedding. The music and the video are surreal, Billy could even be the Superman who is tring to rescue her from her unreal fantasies about the perfect wedding/wedded life Fantastic song, i bought it as vinyl single and frightened the life out of my family |

However it could just be about the rush you feel in the early stages of love, and sometimes at other stages, or when a plan is coming together, or you are chillin out with your best mates. When you or I ask about something you are worried about and you say "my friend has this problem" whatever it is and its really yourself in denial and not someone else with a problem.
