One of my all-time favourites, it's absolutely beautiful. I think it's about someone in love, but they're too scared to say anything because they're afraid of rejection. The other person doesn't like the person telling the story expresiing how they feel-'why so scared of romane?' The person in love tries to sound nonchalant and like they don't care-'do you wanna come over and kill some time' is so casual and non-commital, but their true feelings are expressed at the end with the plea to 'throw your arms around me', because they just want to be with them. 'this modern love' is a love that hides how it truly feels in the current climate of promiscuity and hooking up, a love that disguises itself as a casual, unarranged thing. THE SONG IS AMAZING! |
