it kinda more reminds me of a fairly confident girl who takes the guy's virginity, and the guy feels guilty but keeps going back, and so he's trying to punish himself by begging her to make it harder for him to breathe "Do you remember your last look? Well, you were smiling, and drowning" so he's pretending to enjoy it but really he's not "You knew I knew the ways..." he knew she was capable to 'punish' him so he keeps going back *shrugs* thats what i hear |

um i think its about a prostitute with aids. he shouldve made the great escape from her but he keeps coming back (she says sarcastically, 'havnt we met?') 'this self denial' shes in denial of her aids 'trial to leave you clean cause i like it dark and low' she likes working on the streets and stuff so its hard to stay 'clean' (without disease) 'let our history repeat itsself one too many times' he shouldnt keep going back to her but he does, and each time, it doesnt seem like such a crime well thats what i first thought when listening to it and nobody else has posted a 'meaning' yet :P |
